We affirm that work was meant for the human good, for humanity’s flourishing, for agents capable of assuming responsibilities and therefore acquiring a sense of dignity.
However, work is exceedingly becoming an idol. Late hours are the becoming the norm, burnouts are multiplying, families are being torn apart.
Therefore, we call employers to a higher awareness of their employees’ well-being. Recognise that your employee has a life apart from work and you will be rewarded with more faithfulness and loyalty.
